Arguementation

Talking about argumentation ..
What i thought in my mind is ..

....... two people argue about politics

......... or maybe just two lame people, arguing. about small things

What is exactly the meaning of arguementative ?

- An argument involves the process of
establishing a claim and then proving it with
the use of logical reasoning, examples, and
research.

Argument represents:
A form of oral or written communication
 Contain correct and incorrect statements.

Contain fact or information of some issue
It arranged logically inductive or deductive
all of the statements in the argument must
necessarily imply a correct conclusion.

In moderate perspective, arguing occur
in formal situations (debates,
speeches, lectures) and informal
(chat).

In extreme perspective, arguing means a
fiery of tongue, quarrel and
disagreement

Before you submit arguments to the audience,
some of the questions that must be done, so you
are better prepared.

A) What are the main ideas to be argued?
B) What are the evidences (books, studies,
research) that support your argument?
C) Which proof and how it affects the audience?

TYPES OF ARGUMENTATION

1) writing - The argument was written and
disseminated through print and
electronic media such as books, magazines, journals,
newspapers and the Internet (John, 1991).

2) speech - Oral argument invites a lot of mistakes and
errors of logic. Sometimes we issue a
statement about the rationale and logic do not
even have to peel the issue critically.
Therefore argue depends on the ability of a
person, reading, experience and training that followed.

To win any of argumentation, we need to have these characteristics :

.... Fair and balanced in arguing
Correct the statement doubtful whether friend or foe. We
also must be willing to be corrected if do mistakes.

 ... open-minded
Widely open mind, accept all the arguments without
prejudice even if contrary to our belief, do not disrupt
the opponent's argument, give them time to present his
argument.

.... Having a deep knowledge of the issues addressed.
It is important to provide one is dealing with
the argument back from the opponent.

.... Possess good communication skills including verbal &
non-verbal aspects.
These skills can be obtained from the education,
experience, interaction, training,
environment, etc.

.... Self-calm and balanced personality, physical
and psychological aspects, assertive,
proactive and patient.

Someone who argue needs to know
how or the means of
acquiring resources or materials that
can be used in arguing. Among those
who need to be addressed include;
study (self / others),book, journals, reports, etc.,
experience, interview, talks,
seminars / discussions / workshops

IMPORTANT ????!!
The argument is an important element in
critical thinking. It was not just giving
opinions on an issue, but it is
also necessary logic. It involves the ability
to use appropriate words, the ability
to convince people with new facts, interpret
the information.

not true.
• Fallacy can occur due to false claims against our
environment.
